Shradhanjali to Police Martyrs

On 20.03.2024, No.01070949 Rfn(GD) Sandama Darlong of 13th Bn. TSR was detailed for performing vehicle checking duty  in connection with Lok Sabha Election, 2024 at Chauraibari PS . In the intervening night of 20.03.2024 & 21.03.2024, a Road Traffic Accident(RTA) took place at the place of duty wherein Rfn(GD) Sandama Darlong was badly injured.    Later, he was shifted to Kadamtala Hospital in Critical Condition. The attending Medical Officer of Kadamtala CHC, referred him to Daharmanagar District Hospital for better treatment. On reaching Dharmanagar District Hospital, on 21/03/2024, he unfortunately succumbed to his injury.

On 16/01/2024, Constable/14858  Ashram Mani Reang of North District was performing vehicle checking duty in front of Churaibari Police Station Naka point NH-08 Assam-Agartala road  from 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs. During, vehicle checking duty, he took his motorbike bearing registration No. TR-02-A8514 Bajaj Pulsar and proceeded towards Churaibari MVI Front gate which is 500 mtr (approx.) towards South from Churaibari Naka Gate to check traffic congestion.  On the way the offending truck (12 wheeler) bearing registration No. AS01-FC-6989 dashed him and resulting, the said constable received grievous bleeding injuries. He was   shifted to Kadamtala hospital with the help of other PS staff,  Thereafter, the family members  took him to Silchar Medical College, Assam for better treatment.  On 18.01.2024 during his treatment, he succumbed to his injury.

On 26-11-2021 Satyajit Mallik along with Khowai PS staff while visiting a accused person house who killed his 02 minor girl and also killed his own younger brother by assaulting them with an iron rod. At that time the accused person suddenly assaulted upon Satyajit Mallik, he received grievous injury on his head. He sustained severe injuries and succumbed to death.

Subedar (GD) Amos Karthak of TSR 5th Bn (IR-I) had sacrificed his life while on duty at Ekancherra TSR Camp under Ompi Police Station of Gomati District due to heavy thundering (cerebral damage) consequent upon blunt trauma /surface impact.

While he was posted at Kalamchoura PS during performing Naka duty on Bishalgarh - Kalamchoura Road on 21-11-2019 at night. At that time he was deliberately hit by vehicle of suspected illicit traffickers of NDPS mafia. Subsequently he sustained severe injuries and succumbed to death.

On 30-07-1997 this fearless Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Kanchanpur - Vanghmun road near Natunbari under North District.

He had sacrificed his life while he was performing OPS duty at Bandwar, near Agriculture Plantation then a group of NLFT Extremist attacked upon ROP party by Landmine Blast.

A group of ATTF extremist suddenly attacked upon Ganganagar Police station by firing as a result he died at spot.
