ASHRAM MANI REANG

On 16/01/2024, Constable/14858  Ashram Mani Reang of North District was performing vehicle checking duty in front of Churaibari Police Station Naka point NH-08 Assam-Agartala road  from 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs. During, vehicle checking duty, he took his motorbike bearing registration No. TR-02-A8514 Bajaj Pulsar and proceeded towards Churaibari MVI Front gate which is 500 mtr (approx.) towards South from Churaibari Naka Gate to check traffic congestion.  On the way the offending truck (12 wheeler) bearing registration No. AS01-FC-6989 dashed him and resulting, the said constable received grievous bleeding injuries. He was   shifted to Kadamtala hospital with the help of other PS staff,  Thereafter, the family members  took him to Silchar Medical College, Assam for better treatment.  On 18.01.2024 during his treatment, he succumbed to his injury.
