Surendra Debbarma Constable of West District join in service on 16-06-1973. On 26-04-2001 while he conducting escort duty of Shri Pranab Debbarma, MLA and other dignitaries at Kantakobra para under Jirania PS. One extremist party open fired upon the escort vehicle. Constable Surendra Debbarma sacrificed his life while fighting a heavily armed NLFT Extremists.
