Brief of Incident
On 30/07/1997 at about 1040 hrs. under command of Hav Kanailal Saw while they were returning by a hired vehicle bearing No. TRL-3898 (Civil Center) from Vanghmun to Dasda, when reached at Nutanbari trapped in an Ambush of Extremists on the road with sophisticated weapons. Rfn Nepal Ch. Das who was manning the LMG fitted on the cabin top of said vehicle, despite heavy calling of fire from Extremist, put a valiant display of courage by firing 41 Rounds from LMG till he succumbed to injury.
