Brief of Incident
Late Havildar (GD) Surendra Mohan Jamatia was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 09.07.1991. He hailed from village raiamura, PO Jitendra Nagar, PS-11.K Pur, District South Tripura. On 20.10.2006 the valiant Havildar sacrificed his life while fighting extremists at Tangpui Jum area, near Rabukba Para in between Lungfung post and Kalaibasti under Teliamura PS District- West Tripura.
