In one of the biggest narcotics seizures this year, Sepahijala District Police along with DRI and BSF seized 3360 kg Ganja concealed in 85 drums and arrested 2 persons. Case has been registered under NDPS act and investigation is in progress.

One person arrested by West Agartala PS along with 11 mobiles, 1 magazine, 73 rounds of 7.62 mm SLR and cash Rs 5140/- in connection with court theft case.

SIM Box and related equipments like mobile antenna, signal booster, 622 SIM cards, laptop, 2 tablets etc used to illegally convert ISD calls to local calls seized by a joint team of Police, BSF and Telecom officials near international border at Kalamchoura, District Sepahijala. One person has been arrested and case has been registered.

West District Police detained a truck and seized approx 45000 bottles of cough syrup. 2 persons have been arrested and a specific case has been registered.

In a joint raid conducted by Jawans of 74 Bn BSF along with OC Kalamcherra Police Station seized 120 KG Ganja in the Fakirbari area.

On 16.01.2018 night west Agartala PS staff have taken prompt action regarding missing of Golden Jewellary Bag from Metro Bazar Agartala and recovered the same and duly handed over to the owner Smti Minakshi Chowdhury of Agartala.

Khowai District Police personnel conducted anti gambling raid and arrested four persons along with gambling items and recovered cash Rs.12,500/-.

In a joint operation with BSF, Sonamura PS has seized huge quantity of drugs and other contraband items including 1000 yaba tablets, 146 bottles of phensedyl & Escuf cough syrup and 84 kg of dry ganja.

On 02.12.2017, a team of Tripura Police personnel arrested 9 accused persons in connection with kidnapping of 4 Tripura Gramin Bank employees and recovered Rs 48.8 lakhs ransom money.
