        Tripura Police Crime Branch started its journey on 31.12.2018 comprising of four units namely Serious Crime, Cyber Crime, Economic Offences & Anti-Narcotics.

        Tripura Police Crime Branch aims at in-depth and thorough investigation of sensational and heinous crimes involving murder, rape, extortion, narcotics and drugs related offences, money defalcation cases, cyber crimes etc.

        The Tripura Police Crime Branch Police Station was inaugurated on 24.04.2023 having jurisdiction all over the State for collection of intelligence and investigation of crimes having Inter-State ramifications.

          The Inspector General of Police (Crime & Int.) is the head of Tripura Police Crime Branch.

        Some noteworthy achievements of Tripura Police Crime Branch includes seizure & recovery of 376 number of stolen mobile handsets & 1076 number of fake SIM cards that were involved in fraudulent activities. Besides, Rs. 84,81,747/- fraudulent money were recovered & arrested 118 accused persons from other States of the country using latest Cyber Technology. The Cyber cell arranged to block 283 Social Media accounts, 379 Whatsapp accounts & freezed 930 bank accounts. Tripura Police Crime Branch has also traced out 21 missing persons. It has destructed large area of cannabis cultivation from remote areas using drone cameras as a part of "NASHA MUKT ABIYAAN".
