Shradhanjali to Police Martyrs

On 20-12-1996 at about 0930 hours a group of armed extremists ambushed on Police vehicle proceeding for CI Operation at Karaticherra under PS Manu, Dhalai District, resulting which Gouranga Majumder & 5 others Tripura Police Personnel Died at Spot.

He was appointed as a Constable of Tripura Police on 23.11.1981. When he was posted to Dhalai District, Tripura, he was attacked by a group of armed extremists on 03.10.1995 while patrolling on a speed boat in the Dumbur Lake under Raishyabari PS, Dhalai District, Tripura and he received severe bullet injuries and laid down his life on the spot in fighting with the extremists.

On 03-10-1995 at about 1430 hours a group of armed extremists attacked on speed boat in Dumbur reservoir under PS Raishyabari, Dhalai District, Police Personnel Died at Spot. resulting which Sonatan Paul & 2 others Tripura

He was appointed as a Constable of Tripura Police on 25.11.1997. When he was posted to Dhalai District, Tripura, this brave Constable confronted a group of NLFT extremists on 13.07.1995 while performing police escort duty on the Manu-Chawmanu Road at Hezacherra under Chawmanu PS, Dhalai District, Tripura and he laid down his life in fighting with the extremists.

Late Rifleman (GD) Sachinandan Paul was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 25.07.1992. He hailed from Village-Ishan Chandra Nagar, PO. Subhash Nagar, PS. Belonia, District- Tripura (South). On 22.03.1998 this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting extremists at Pandit Ram Para, under Khowai District.

Late Rifleman (GD) Sanjib Chowdhuri was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 10.09.1992. He hailed from Village-Fatepur, PO- Fatepur, PS.-Haringhata, District. Nadia (West Bengal). On 30.07.1997 this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting extremists at Kanchanpur- Vanghmun road near Natunbari under North Tripura District.

Late Rifleman (GD) Subhash Debbarma was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 27.07.1992. He hailed from Village Ujan Larma, PO-Naha Shantiganj, PS.- Takar Jala, District Sepahijala. On 22.03.1998 this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting extremists at Pandit Ram Para, under Khowai District.

Late Rifleman (GD) Swapan Bhownnk was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 27.07.1992 He hailed from Village- Laximichara, PO-Laxmicherra, PS.- Balkhora, District- South Tripura. On 22.03.1998 this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting extremists at Pandit Ram Para, under Khowai District.

He was appointed in 2nd Bn Tripura State Rifles (TSR) as Rifleman (GD) on 10.07.1991. He hailed horn Village-Dashu Chandra pars, PO-Hadrai, PS•Teliamura, District- West Tripura. On 25.05.1993 the valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while combating extremists for saving the lives of Rubber Board Officials near Rajchantai Bazar, PS•Bodhjung Nagar, under West Tripura District.
