On 23‐05‐2016 Ld. J.M 1st Class, Sabroom, South Tripura convicted accused namely Sri Partha Chakraborty (34) S/O Lt. Hari Bhusan Chakraborty of Manubazar, PS‐MNB for the offence U/S 498(A) IPC and sentenced to under go R.I for a period of 01 (one) year along with a fine of Rs. 5,000/‐ (five thousand), I.d to suffer S.I for a period of 01 (one) month. 

Today on 17-03-2016 Ld Special Judge (District Sessions Judge) North Tripura, Dharmanagar convicted one accused namely Samar Nath (27) S/O Sri Dipesh Nath of Sukanchara , PS-Kanchanpur sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for life with pay a fine of Rs. 10,000/- i.d. suffer R.I for 01(one) year and pay a fine of Rs 1,000/- i.d. to suffer 01 month for offence punishable U/S 448 IPC in c/w Kanchanpur P.S. Case No 39/14 U/S 448/376/506 IPC & Section 4 of PCSO Act.

Today on 12-04-2016 Ld. District & Sessions Judge North Tripura, Dharmanagarconvicted one accused namely Sri Ajoy Sutradhar (29) @ Apu S/O Sri Anil Sutradhar of Chandrapur (Sutradhar Para), PS- Dharmanagar sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for 10 years with pay a fine of Rs. 20,000/- i.d to suffer R.I for 04 (four) months for offence punishable U/S 376(I) IPC in c/w Dharmanagar P.S Case No. 75/15 U/S 376 IPC.

On 09.09.15, based on secret information S.I Suman Ulla Kazi, S.I Ramlal Naukhum and other staff of Teliamura P.S arrested three members of a veteran burglary gang and also recovered Rs. 4,62000/- which were looted from Agartala. This refers to West Agartala P.S Case Case No-126/15 U/S- 379 IPC. Action of District Police was highly appreciated.

On 29.03.15, based on secret information ASI Bhanu Das along with staff chased and detained one Ambassador Car bearing registration No-TR 04 B 0424 which broke away several police barricades. During search, 125 Bottles cough syrup (Narcotic Drug) were seized from the car and the driver was arrested. In this regard a specific case vide Khowai P.S Case No-31/15 U/S- 21 of NDPS Act was registered.

On 26.03.15 night, two computer set, one projector and other accessories were stolen from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya by unknown miscreants. In this regard, a specific case vide Khowai P.S Case No-30/15 U/S-457/380 IPC was registered. On receipt of the information, Khowai P.S staff came into prompt action and recovered the stolen articles and arrested the accused. Action of Police was appreciated.

On 25.03.15, one minor girl was kidnapped and in this regard a specific case vide Teliamura P.S Case No-27/15 dated 25.03.15 U/S-366(A) IPC was registered. Due to prompt action by the police of Teliamura P.S, the kidnapped girl was recovered from Narsingarh on the following day and the accused was arrested. Action of police was highly appreciated.

On 17.10.15 Police staff of Khowai P.S arrested one accused along with stolen money Rs. 4825/ in c/w Khowai P.S Case No-101/15 U/S-379/411 IPC. Action of Police was appreciated by general public

On 28.10.15 a sensational murder case of a women was reported at Kalyanpur P.S vide case No-47/15 U/S-302/34 IPC. On receipt of the information police promptly came into action and within 24 hrs. detected the case by arresting the A/Ps and recovering the weapons of offence. Centering this murder, tension prevailed in the locality but due to prompt and sincere action of police, the prevailed tension got neutralized. The police action was highly appreciated by local people.

Over three lakh ganja plants in illegal plantation were destroyed in Naljala area under Kalamcharra PS by the team led by Enforcement Branch on 4 - Dec - 2015, GDE - 117/134 dated 4.12.15 at KLC PS. Approximate cost of ganja destroyed was over 30 crore rupees.
