Shradhanjali to Police Martyrs

On 06.07.2003 a joint ops meeting was conducted by SP (West) on 05.07.2003, with local Police, AR and CRPF for Joint Operation. A contingent was led by Shri B.L Baidya (AC) along with 61 TSR personnel of Ex-Ampura post of this unit, conducted SPL OPS at Baijal Bari and its adjoining area. After operation when the vehicle with one detained suspected person namely Jogal Debbarma S/O:-Pada Kumar Debbarma of Belfung, escorted by 8(eight) TSR personnel led by Ex-Nk Asish Saha was just crossing Baijal Bari iron Bridge at about 0615 hrs on 06.07.2003, a land mine was blasted by the Exts. and as a result NK-Asish Saha and E/F Pradip Sukla Das died on the spot and the other 06(six) personnel were injured.

Badal Dhar was appointed as a Rifleman(GD) on 15.09.1997. He flailed from village-Krishna Nagar, PO-Halahali, PS-Kamalpur, District-Dhalai, Tripura. He laid down his life on 23.09.2003 at Serhmuntilla TSR Camp while fighting with a group of NLFT extremists led by a deserter TSR Havilder Rahid Miah.

On 19.12.2001 he was killed by the extremist's fire while on Govt. duty at Chagal Dema under the Kailashahar PS Unakoti Tripura , 4th Bn TSR.

On 23-09-2003 he was killed by the extremist's fire while on post duty at Sermul Tilla 4th Bn TSR Post under the Pacherthal PS

On 29-05-2002 AN on Assam Agartala Road at Gangacherra under Manu PS Dhalai Tripura due to extremist firing sudden demise of No 20004537 Rifleman (GD) Ranjit lal Dey of 4th Bn TSR

On 29-05-2002 AN on Assam Agartala Road at Gangacherra under Manu PS Dhalai Tripura due to extremist firing sudden demise of No 97040699 Rifleman(GD) Sankar Ch. Datta of 4th Bn TSR.

On 15-08-2001 he was killed by the extremists fire while on Govt. duty at Gomohan Para under the Kanchanpur PS North Tripura, 4th Bn TSR.

On 23-09-2003 he was killed by the extremists fire while on post duty at Sermun Tilla 4th Bn TSR Post under the Pecharthal PS

On 29-05-2002 A|N on Assam Agartala Road at Gangacherra under Manu PS Dhalai Tripura due to extremist firing sudden demise of No 20004001 Naib Subedar (Compounder) Swadesh Bhowmik of 4th bn TSR.

He had sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists during Special Operation duty at Palabhanga under Takarjala PS.
