On 20.08.2002 at 0830 hrs an ambush took place laid by unknown armed extremist on way at Hirapur under the then Takarjala PS while escorting two sick TSR personnel from Amarendranagar TSR Post of 7th Bn TSR(IR-VI) to Bishramganj Hospital.

On 06.03.2007 at about 2015 hrs, a TSR party of Binan Hazari Post (1+9) led by L/NK Alok Das, came under the ambush of unknown extremists in the south side of Binan Hazari Post at distance of about 1km while performing area patrolling duty. In the ambush LNK Alok Das and Rfn Samir Choudhury subsequently sustained bullet injuries on their persons and succumbed to their injuries at the spot. Extremists simultaneously fired upon Binanhajari Camp and thereby prevented the other TSR personnel from re-enforcing the ops party under ambush. Exchange of firing continued from 2015 hrs to 2042 hrs. Exchange of fire stopped from the extremists’ side when 4 nos of 2” Mortar bomb was blasted by Rfn Sukhdeb Tripura.

On 06.03.2007 at about 2015 hrs, a TSR party of Binan Hazari Post (1+9) led by L/NK Alok Das, came under the ambush of Unknown extremists in the south side of Binan Hazari Post at distance of about 1km while performing area patrolling duty. The TSR party retaliated by firing upon the Extremists effectively. In the ambush LNK Alok Das and Rfn Samir Choudhury subsequently sustained bullet injuries on their persons and succumbed to their dead at the spot.

Pradip Bardhan was appointed in the 6th Battalion TSR on 04.11.1998. He hailed from Village-Haripur, PO-Sharma Gandacherra, PS- Sharma Gandacherra, District- Dhalai. On 26.10.2005, this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Nandakumar Para, Champahaor PS, West Tripura District (undivided).

On 26.10.2005 at about 0745 hrs an Ops party 6th Bn TSR led by Hav (GD) Jiban Nandi and 21 ors, Ex-Namanjoy Bari post camp under ambush fire by the NLFT (BM) extremists while they were negotiating a narrow fool track in the deep jungle in between Nandakumar Para and Twichakrang under CPH PS. It is about 10 KM S/E from Tulashikhor TSR camp. The guide of the Ops party namely (one) No.98060488 Rfn Pradip Bardhan and most of the TSR Jawans of the said TSR party and came within the ambush zone when the NLFT extremists members who were waiting in ambush started opening fire from LMG, AK-47 and SLR. 7/8 Grenades were lobbed at the same . After that, the third Jawan Rfn Babul Mog and the fifth Jawan Hav Jiban Nandi continued firing, despite having serious injuries, they continued firing and could save the whole party from major disaster.
