Shradhanjali to Police Martyrs

Padma Sadhan jamatia was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 14.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Tairupa, PO-Killa, PS-Killa, District-Tripura South. On 17.04.2000, this valiant Rifleman (GD) of the 3rd Battalion TSR sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Santinagar about 15 KM North-East from Kalayanpur PS under West Tripura District (undivided).

Kali Pada Debnath was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 13.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Harihardula, PO-Kunaban, PS-Bishalgarh, District-Sepahijala. On 17.04.2000, this courageous Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Santinagar, Kalayanpur PS under West Tripura District (undivided).

Laxman Debnath was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 13.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Durga Nagar, PO- Durga Nagar, PS-Jirania, District-Tripura West On 12.02.1998, this valiant Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champarai Para, PS- Ganga Nagar under Dhalai District.

Samsul Hague was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 12.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Kalacherra, PO-Kalacherra, PS-Dharamanagar, District-Tripura North. On 12.02.1998, this brave Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champaral Para, PS- Ganga Nagar under Dhalai District.

Bapi Malakar was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 14.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Rajnagar, PO- Rajnagar, PS-P.R, Bari, District-Tripura South. On 12.02.1998 this fearless Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champarai Para, PS- Ganga Nagar under Dhalai District.

Bikash Chowdhury was appointed in the 3rd Battalion TSR on 13.08.1996. He hailed from Village-Chanbaria, PO-Naba Santigani, PS-Takariala, District-Sepahijala. On 12.02.1998, this fearless Rifleman sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champarai Para, PS- Gaga Nagar under Dhalai District.

On 12.02.98 at 1145 hrs one platoon TSR of ex-Champarai Para post of 3rd Bn TSR led by NK Sandhya Ram Debbarma was coming to Dalubari Coy HQr in three vehicles bearing registration No. TR-02-1502, TR-01-1922 and one water tanker bearing No. TRP-154. While the party reached at K C about 3 km North-West from Champarai Para camp, a group of extremists (suspected to be NLFT) ambushed the convey by opening fire from three directions. The driver (civilian) of TR-02-1502 (truck) becomes the first causality by the fire of extremists and as a result the driver died on the spot and lost control of vehicle which fell into a 30 ft. ditch.. The exchange of fire continued for about 15 minutes and the extremists ultimately withdrawn after inflicting substantial casualties. No. 96030655 Rifleman (GD) Ravi Charan Debbarma succumbed to his injury along with 7 others inmates and one civil driver.

Arun Kanti Bhowmiki was appointed in the 1st Battalion TSR on 18.04.1985. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of L/NK (GD) on 28.10.1996 and further posted to the 3rd Battalion TSR. He hailed from Village-Jamardhepa, PO- Jumerdepa, PS-Sonamura, District-Sepahijala. On 12.02.1998, this courageous NCO sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champarai Para, PS- Ganga Nagar under Dhalal District.

Mukaddas Ali was appointed in the 1st Battalion TSR as a Rifleman (GD) on 20.04.1985. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of L/NK (GD) on 28.10.1996 and posted at the 3rd Battalion TSR. He hailed from Village-Bangaon, PO-Isabpur, PS-Kailashahar, District-Unakoti. On 12.02.1998, this brave NCO sacrificed his life while fighting the extremists at Champarai Para, PS- Ganga Nagar under Dhalai District.

On 20-07-2004 Lt. Nikhil Chandra Deb along with 03 (three) other constable were performing SOP duty n with Shri Birajit Sinha, MLA at about 1145 hrs. when they came to babu bazar under Kailashahar Police station the then North District some criminal detained their movement and there is a hot altercation took place in between Shri Birajit Sinha and criminals, resulting which one of the PSO of Birajit Sinha , MLA namely C/9590 Nikhil Chandra Deb have received bullet injuries and subsequently he died on the same day
